Excellence in Breeding & Science can only be achieved once we excelled at diversity! But it’s not always easy to enter in these disciplines if one doesn’t fit the stereotype! That’s why we formed a supportive peer-network for Women of ICARDA in Rabat (WIR). The network was initiated by early-career scientists Hafssa and Anna and PhD students Houda and Safaa.
THE VISION
We want to help all students and staff to be the best scientists they can, by fostering an inclusive work environment. We also contribute by making more training, especially for core skills, available to everyone. To raise awareness for the outstanding female scientists we are launching a seminar series in 2024, which will be given by women but is for everyone!
